Introduction:
Life is very hectic in Today’s World and in every aspect either in Professional or Personal we are always stressed out. Adding to it, Life was very Down and Out during 2020 due to the Hardcore COVID era and Lockdown, and being in Travelling & Tourism Industry our Profession was Badly effected. While all these issue runs in our mind in Typical manner we Desperately want go for a break. And that’s the perfect time for visiting or touring places with Friends or Family. The prime purpose of these kind of Tour is to have a total piece of mind, away from the work stress. The Mandarmani Trip was just similar kind of Trip which I had with my Wife and Friends during January 2021. While you have Friends with similar mindset, every moment you be with them is Precious.
A week ago before the Trip, I was having a conversation with my Childhood friend Madhu and got to know that they were planning for the Mandarmani Trip and she asked me and my wife Tina to join them. Initially I hesitated, but changed my mind later as I desperately needed a Break from all the Hard realities of Life and agreed to join them. The Trip’s Date was fixed on 19th January and the date of returning was on 21st January. So, 3 Days were more than enough for a Mental Relaxion.
Day 1 – 19th January 2021
Being a Die-Hard Cricket fan got up at 5am to watch the Day 5 of India-Australia Test Match. It was a Series Decider Match and India was chasing 328 on Day 5, and prime Intent of India was to win the Game. At the same time the communication among Friends in Whatsapp were taking place to know about the Exact Pickup location. Finally the Car arrived at our Location Kasba at 10:30 am, so me and my spouse Tina, got in and was having a good time with Sayan, Archi & Sohini following the on Going India’s Run chase. Then the car Proceed towards Behala and Picked Madhu and the Original Journey Begins towards Mandarmani.
It was an Innova Car therefore Me & Sayan were sitting on the very Back seat and were watching Test Match, and still remember the cheer we did, while Rishabh Pant hit the Boundary and India won the Test Match & the Test Series in Australia chasing 328. That was the Beginning of the Turning Point of my Mindset which was very Down and out since last 10 Months, following my Father’s Cardiac issue, later the Lockdown and many more related to my Personal & Professional Life. We were towards the best shortest route via NH16 and NH 116, right then at 3pm we got out to have Lunch in Royal Darbar Restaurant at Kolaghat. The distance between Kolkata and Mandarmani on that route is about 170 km which takes approximately 4 and a half hours. But on the same day there was a Political Rally and our car got stuck for few hours in Jam so finally we reached our Resort at around 7pm.
Our Resort’s name “Bombay Beach Resort” which was already Booked by us, and it was situated beside the Located right on the beach, it is considered to have the best location in Mandarmoni. After getting fresh, we went to visit the Sea and had some good Time there. A Childlike activity which I and my Sister Sohini did was by climbing the wall and visiting the Lawn of another Resort just for curiosity purpose, since the place was looking very beautiful from outside and we assumed being a Stranger we won’t have been allowed to enter from the Main Gate.
Few while later, the Archi, Sayan, Tina & Madhu too joined us from a Different Gate. Had some awesome Time over there and few Photo sessions during night. Although clicking photo without lights is a very tough work to do, so all of us put on the Mobile Flash Light to make our Face visible. Later, we returned our resort to have the Get-together and Dinner.
Playing Games, Singing, Dancing specially the Helicopter Dance of Sayan was Brilliant and having our Favorite tasty Dishes, specially the Chilli Chicken with Chapati gave the moment a different Fragrance. Suddenly my Sister Sohini wanted to go for a Beach visit in the Early morning tomorrow to see Sunrise. Even I agreed for it but considering the tiredness of the entire day, it was very tough. So others denied, but I already gave the alarm. Overall, Finished the Day in Brilliant manner. Firstly India won the Series against Australia in Australia, then the Great Get-together with everyone. One thing I realized on that “Life is partly what we make it, and partly what it is made by the friends we choose”.
Day 2 – 20th January 2021
Right after getting up on the Next Day, found it was 8:30am, and all the Hopes to See the Sunrise went into vein. Clueless about the fact of the Morning Alarm Got upset but it was funny indeed as I already assumed in the Midnight that nobody would able to Visit Beach in that morning of Winter to see the Sunrise, after yesterday’s Hectic day. Anyway I needed to move on so Got fresh and went for the Sea Beach Visit alone and enjoyed the Beauty of Nature. Asked Tina to join me but she was very tired and needed bit more rest, so didn’t force her. Returned back from there and in the afternoon, all of us went for the Sea-Beach visit. Due to weekend, the beach was crowded as lots of people came from various Places.
Few while later all my friends went towards the Beach and was enjoying the Tide except me and Tina. Actually Tina’s health wasn’t up to the mark and I was scared enough to go towards the Deep Water. But Sayan came and asked me to join them, I denied initially, but he assured to take care of me. It gave me a bit courage and I joined them as well.
It was an Excellent experience I had while getting myself wet in the Tide. I never did that before, so I was enjoying but I stood beside Archi who is very Tall and Strong Lad among us. Staying over there for 10 to 15 minutes I got back to Hotel and got Fresh.
Later took Lunch in a Small Hotel Beside the Sea beach and the Foods we had was Delicious. Although Fish isn’t my Favorite Dish, but Madhu served a few pieces of Prawn which was very Tasty. Later on, we were on the way to Digha at around 5pm. As usual Song and Dance were taking place inside the Car and we were enjoying a lot.
We reached Digha which is almost 30km away from Mandarmani, and its another Beautiful Tourist Spot. It was my second visit over there after 2013. It was almost evening while we reached there so we could able to visit only the “Biswa Bangla Park”, which was completely new for me. Because last time while I visited there with my Grandparents in 2013, that wasn’t build up. It’s a very Beautiful Tourist place and people over there were enjoying a lot. More than that I was Thankful to God as people there were enjoying a Suitable Life after getting rid off the Covid Issue. Everybody among us suffered a lot for that.
There were many Fast Food Stall beside the Beach and we had some delicious food there. For a while I and Tina lost the rest others, so both of us hanged around the place for a while. Later the rest of the friends joined us too. We had no idea that the time was Ticking very quickly so Spending an hour over there, we returned our Mandarmani’s resort. Got fresh and was waiting for the Big Event as it was Last night of our Get-together there at that Resort. So desperately want to make the moment count.
The best thing I did that day was I personally had a lot of Gossip with Sayan, Archi, Sohini & Madhu. Because I wanted them to understand my nature, views and what type of person I am. Because I feel it is very important to make a strong bonding and understanding. Rather that I introduced few few local people there to get their Experience about the place. By the way, now coming to the Big event of the Get-together, Big Celebration took place at Night that day as well. Endless Gossiping, Playing Games, Singing-Dancing and off-course having our Favorite Delicious Food. There was a funny thing I did with Madhu. Actually there was a Small Cat hanging here and there, and I observed Madhu was getting Scared. I sat beside her and started making Sound like a Cat, and she got scared and started searching it. While she came to know about that, she got angry but felt funny as well. But in the end the heart-breaking moment took place while we assumed, it was the last night over there at Mandarmani in this Trip.
Even I understand that in obvious manner it was Heart Breaking. You get out from the hard realities of Life to enjoy somewhere with your Dearest one, then while you realize its over, things become heart breaking for you. But everyone among us assured that we would go for such trip again in Future.
Day 3 – 22nd January 2021
Started the Day with an Official Phone Call. Getting call from office really irritates on such circumstances while you are on a Holiday Mood, adding to it I realized I need to get back to work on the next day. it was almost 10am and our checkout time was 11am. Sayan knocked me and said, we need to do things quickly, and started to work accordingly.
Did packing, completed all the formalities and left the Resort. I was upset while leaving Mandarmani, specially the Beauty of the “Bombay Beach Resort” was unmatchable. But assured to visit the place again, and if possible I would bring my Parents and Grandparents here. But things didn’t end there on that day, we were on the way to another Beautiful Location Tajpur.
Tajpur is located in Purba Medinipur, in the state of West Bengal, India on the shore of Bay of Bengal, which is set between Mandarmani and Shankarpur and is situated almost 13km away from Mandarmani where we stayed. Avery Beautiful Tourist spot, with a spectacular sideview and even a Shooting was taking place over there casting famous Bengali Actor Anirban Bhattacharya and a Beautiful actress coincidentally whose name was Sohini too. Although I have a very little idea about Movies and Serials as I hardly watch television these days rather Cricket Matches or any other Decent Shows. So, I was unaware about the actor & actress these days. But we were enjoying the shooting as well.
Took lunch in a small hotel over there and as usual I had my favorite Favorite Bengali Dish Rice, Dal, Alubhaja which was as susal delicious. Madhu was collecting Beautiful Shells, rather that we were having few funny moment and wonderful time in the Beach by clicking photos. Clicked the Last Group Selfie which is still now precious in my life in many aspect. It was almost 4:30pm then and that was the right time to leave the place as we needed to return Kolkata on that day only. So all of us got into the car and were on the way to Kolkata.
The final journey of that Trip Begins. Everybody among us became very quite and the completely environment become quiet as well. That was a bit unusual, after the Great enjoyment we did together but we were very tired as well. But More than tired we were upset as well. Suddenly on the middle of the way Tina’s health got deteriorated. Sohini asked the car to stop and both the Girls Madhu & Sohini took Tina out of the car in a very caring manner. She started vomiting and her health gone more down and out. All of us got worried on that, but she asked us to relax. Slowly her health improved and became normal later.
Finally, we reached Kolkata and Madhu was the first one who got down at her home in Behala. It was our turn next in Kasba and in similar manner I & Tina got down at Kasba saying bye to Sayan, Archi and Sohini and assured to meet very soon in near future.
Ending:
Finally the Trip came to an end. Its the way life goes, every good things has to come to an end. This is the Overall Experience I am sharing of that Mandarmani Trip with Friends. It was the Best Trip I had with my Friends, and expected to have more trips like this in Future if Luck permits. Special Thanks to Madhu, Sayan, Archi & Sohini for making us a part of it and making the moment precious for us. Without you all it won’t have been possible.
