Nothing would be as frustrating as an Indian Cricket Fan to see the Indian Bowlers struggling against Travis Head & Steve Smith. The Decision of Winning the Toss and electing to field can argued to be Wrong, but just after Lunch Australia were 76/3, but the Bowlers couldn’t capitalize on it. Head and Smith grabbed back the initiative in contrasting styles and silenced the crowd. Travis Head’s fighting 146 and Steve Smith’s careful 95 led Australia to 327-3 at the end of Day 1, adding 251* partnership between themselves. And if they carries the batting in same manner for next couple of hours, it would be very difficult for India to make a comeback and win the Test Match, rather they would look to Draw the Match.
A Lot of Questions are raised by the Media and Former Cricket Experts about the decision of electing to Bowl after winning the Toss. Although the condition was overcast but the pitch became paradise of batting after Lunch. India have to start the Day 2 very well Today. They need to avoid the mistakes they did yesterday, Otherwise, the dream of the title may be shattered. They need to be more attacking on the Field and pickup a couple of wickets early. They must make sure they doesn’t leak up unnecessary runs. The team is mostly dependent upon Shami and Siraj as Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav did not provide much support to them. Team India will have to try to restrict Australia to around 450 runs today. If this does not happen, the chances of victory will be almost gone.
