  • India vs New Zealand at Gwalior
  • Pepsi Cup 3rd ODI

Sourav Ganguly played the Real knock of One Man Army in ODI History, scoring 153* (150 Balls 18 Fours 3 Sixer) out of India’s total 261 were maximum batsman struggling to score runs on that pitch. Even Sachin struggled and scored 1 off 23 balls.

India were 142/5 in 38.3 Overs, while Robin Singh joined with Dada and changed the gear. Dada played full 50 overs, and both of them added 119* (69) in the 6th wicket, where Dada dominated mostly in the slog, becoming 3rd batsman in ODI history to score 2 score of 150 in ODI.

It was an instance where Danniel Vettory who was a specialist bowler was not offered a single over. It’s unbelievable in International Cricket that your top spinner of all time goes without a single over only because of Sourav Ganguly was hitting ridiculously. Such was a terror for the Spinners against him.

Even while bowling he picked up an important wicket of Parore with a decent bowling figure 8-1-33-1.

  • NZ 247/8 (50)
